Keith brings more than a decade of experience on Capitol Hill to the team at Subject Matter. He most recently worked as General Counsel to a senior senator, driving strategy, coalition building, business outreach and policy for her major legislative initiatives. Prior to his time in the Senate, he was Tax Counsel and Economic Policy Advisor to a senior member of the Ways and Means Committee and the Budget Committee. Keith has deep policy background on a broad range of issues, including tax and finance, cyber security and technology, and ethics and campaign finance. He worked on the implementation of the Recovery Act and Dodd-Frank Act, passage of the Commodity Exchange Act reauthorizations, and numerous budget reconciliation processes. Keith maintains strong ties to the New York City business community, having spent much of his career leading policy efforts pertaining to taxes, trade and technologies of multinational companies and large financial institutions.
