Caitlin Canter

Caitlin joined Subject Matter in 2022 with more than 12 years of experience in politics and lobbying. Caitlin specializes in healthcare, with additional expertise in tax and trade practice areas regarding issues involving the Ways & Means Committee, House Republican leadership and the House Republican Conference. Most recently, she served as a principal for Capitol Counsel LLC since 2018. Prior to that, she spent her Capitol Hill tenure working for Republican Rep. Devin Nunes of California, a former senior member of the House Ways & Means Committee. Among other roles, she served as deputy chief of staff, helping advance healthcare, trade and tax issues, including the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. She also managed the congressman’s Washington, D.C. political operation and was his lead staffer on Republican Steering Committee matters.
