Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to be a part of our team. You will be responsible for HR functions as well as being a strategic partner to senior leadership and continuing to foster an inclusive and positive culture. This is a true HR generalist role, with the opportunity to manage across many HR disciplines including employee relations, benefits, culture, talent development, talent acquisition, performance management, HRIS.

This is a unique opportunity to own a large and crucial function for the firm while also being afforded new opportunities for development and advancement. In addition to overseeing daily HR functions for employees, you will work closely with the HR Associate to ensure payroll, benefits, HRIS and reporting are running optimally. With the right skills and initiative, the opportunities are extensive!


HR Generalist
• Provide support and/or oversight on all HR processes, including recruitment and offers, exits, succession planning, on- and off-boarding, PTO/LOA management, reporting and audit compliance
• Collaborate with staff, leadership, proper legal counsel to ensure HR-related issues are properly flagged to the appropriate team members and leaders and handled/documented accordingly
• Oversee benefits (with day-to-day support from HR Associate) including open enrollment and selection, 401K management and employee inquiries.
• Manage relationships with HR vendors including benefits broker, 401k provider, HRIS provider, etc.
• Supervise HR Associate and oversee their HRIS, programming, payroll, benefits, and reporting responsibilities

Talent Management and Development
• Oversee the performance review process including training supervisors and employees on giving/getting effective reviews, goal setting, career tracking, promos and increase recommendations
• Plan the training and development strategy for the company, execute HR trainings directly and help manage training programs from in-house and external trainers.
• Manage performance improvement and employee/supervisor counsel on individual performance management

• Manage the requisition process. Confirm business case for hire, salary range, skills need. Collaborate with hiring manager to understand skills and competencies required for position
• Serve as point person for multiple job openings. This may include outreach to candidates, 1-1 interviews, panel interview and feedback sessions, reference checks, offer negotiations
• Source passive candidates and strategized with hiring managers for pipeline candidate sourcing

Culture initiatives
• Manage, co-manage and/or serve on company’s DEI committees; serve as integral part of strategic planning and execution on DEI efforts
• Oversee programs for rewards and recognition, engagement, teambuilding
• Manage HR communications to all-staff and leadership

Applicants Should Have/Be:
• 4+ years HR experience, ideally in a professional services or PR/Communications-related field
• 2+ years in a generalist function
• Excellent verbal and listening communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while keeping a professional demeanor and prioritizing appropriately
• Strong skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel e.g., ability to use formulas
• Experience with HRIS systems, including inputting, maintenance, and reporting
• Familiarity with benefits and open enrollment processes. Able to evaluate carriers and plan selection, make recommendations, prepare for, and execute open enrollment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability for areas of responsibility
• Strong analytical skills and sound judgement
• A positive, professional and “can do” attitude and be a demonstrated team player
• Flexible, adaptive, and eager
