Cancer: The Emperor of all Maladies
Story-driven website in partnership with Ken Burns, WETA and PBS
The Emperor of All Maladies is a three-part, six-hour major television event from preeminent documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, in partnership with WETA and PBS. To help promote this event, we created a content-driven website, which included everything from an all-access pass to the filming, editing and production of the feature to a series of first looks and digital shorts released in conjunction with each episode. A user-generated interactive story wall was developed and promoted to help audiences connect and share their experiences leading up to the premiere. When the series aired on TV, we deployed a second screen mobile experience to provide viewers with access to additional content and historical highlights linked to each episode.
