Associate Creative Director, Interactive

Subject Matter is a multifaceted Creative Advocacy firm, and teamwork is integral to our success. We are comprised of experienced writers, advertising experts, media relations pros, digital specialists, filmmakers and lobbyists. The ACD of Interactive will work directly with this diverse roster — both within our Creative division and among our other core practice areas, including Technology, Digital, Content, Media and Government Relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with our Technology Director to design and deliver amazing interactive experiences
  • Effectively lead junior and mid level talent to inspire great work
  • Manage interactive work through research, discovery, information architecture and interaction design to define the overall strategy and user experience
  • Produce a variety of deliverables including discovery findings, concepts, designs, storyboards, scenarios and prototypes
  • Define creative milestones within the interactive process and contribute to high-level scoping, resourcing, requirements gathering and competitive analysis
  • Present creative work with conviction at internal and external meetings
  • Roll up your sleeves, take ownership and be a team player
  • Deliver work on-time and on-budget

Requirements:

  • Online portfolio demonstrating skills and experience
  • 7-12 years relevant work history (agency experience mandatory)
  • Relevant four year degree
  • Expertise in information architecture, user experience, typography, design, animation, style guide creation, video production and marketing messaging
  • ‪‪Advanced level Adobe Creative Suite, and strong understanding of HTML, HTML5, CSS, Flash
  • Always current on interactive tools, techniques, strategies and emerging trends
  • ‪‪Experience working directly with clients to pitch ideas and influence outcomes
  • Experience leading teams and defining process
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while keeping a professional demeanor
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • A positive, professional and “can do” attitude
  • Flexible, adaptive and eager
